Its 432 residents share laundry in the building, a large first-floor lounge, a study lounge on every floor, a front-desk-access kitchen, high-speed ResNet internet, mental health services, an elevator, and a piano. Humphreys also anchors a Living/Learning Community, grouping some residents by shared academic interest. Humphreys is one of the few halls that opens on the first move-in day: Aug. 5, 2026 general move-in covers Hotz, Humphreys and Yocum only, and it carries a $35 early arrival charge. Everyone else arrives Aug. 6-8, and move-in continues Aug. 10-14 once the protected parking lots are released. All residents check in at Baum-Walker Stadium at their scheduled time before heading to the building; Humphreys' central location means a shorter drive from the stadium than outlying halls like Pomfret, but its lots still back up at peak hours. Families get 30 minutes to unload at the lot, then no time limit for carrying items up. Arrival times are chosen in the Housing Portal during the June 8-18 window.
