Affiliate links
Product links on DormMoveIn go to Amazon and include an affiliate tag (dormmovein-20). If you purchase through a link, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. This is how the site stays free. Which products appear on a checklist is decided by room specifications and verified data — not by commission rates. DormMoveIn is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Email collection and unsubscribe
We collect your email address in three situations: when you join a school waitlist, when you save your dorm list via magic link, and when a family member adds themselves to a shared list for move-in reminders. We use your address only for the purpose stated at the point of collection.
You can unsubscribe from any email we send you by clicking the unsubscribe link in the message or by emailing hello@dormmovein.com. We will remove you promptly. We never sell or share email addresses with third parties.
Acceptable use
DormMoveIn content is for personal, non-commercial use. You may not scrape, republish, or redistribute checklist data, hall specifications, or editorial content without written permission. Automated access to the site at a rate that degrades performance for other users is not permitted.
Accuracy disclaimer
We verify hall dimensions, furnishings, and policies against official school sources and update them annually. However, schools change room configurations, banned items lists, and housing policies without notice. Always confirm critical details — especially bed dimensions and prohibited items — directly with your school's residential life office before move-in. Product prices and availability on Amazon change frequently and are outside our control.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects when changes were last made. Continued use of DormMoveIn after an update means you accept the revised terms.
