East Carolina University Freshman Dorms 2026
East Carolina University requires all freshmen to live on campus for at least two semesters, with most first-year Pirates housed across the College Hill, West End, and Central neighborhoods. Every residence hall room comes with a built-in air conditioning unit and an adjustable Twin XL (80-inch) bed that can be raised, bunked, or lofted without an outside loft kit (UL-listed bed lifts and risers are allowed). For fall 2026, primary move-in ran August 12-14, halls officially opened August 15, and classes began Monday, August 17.
