Do Texas A&M dorms have air conditioning?

The modern halls do — Mosher and Hullabaloo, for example, have individually-controlled air conditioning in each room. AC matters in College Station, where temperatures stay in the 90s well into the fall semester. It does vary by building, though, so confirm your specific hall on its page or with Residence Life. Personal portable and window AC units are prohibited across A&M housing, so you can't add your own — check that your assigned hall has building AC, and pack a fan for extra circulation either way.

What's prohibited in Texas A&M residence halls?

Beyond the usual bans (candles, incense, halogen lamps, and standard non-surge extension cords), A&M specifically prohibits hoverboards, airsoft/paintball/Nerf guns, and power tools in the residence halls. Texas is a campus-carry state, so a resident licensed to carry a handgun must store it and its ammunition in a steel safe rented or purchased through Residence Life — it can't simply be kept in the room.
