Double, community bathroom (single room reserved for accessibility placement)

Iba Hall houses OSU's Housing office and Global Scholars LLP. Built in 1967 (the page's narrative dates its opening to 1970) and home to about 240 residents across four floors, it sits at Farm Road and Cleveland Street, three minutes' walk from Colvin Recreation Center. Desk services for Iba residents are provided at Village FIT (Village A), not in the building itself.

  • Refrigerators are one per room -- not per person -- in Iba, Parker, and Wentz Halls; microwaves are one per room in every OSU hall.
  • Traditional halls including Iba ban air fryers, toaster ovens, crock pots and Instant Pots, drip coffee makers and espresso machines; a single-serve maker such as a Keurig is approved.

Living in Iba Hall: what to know before you pack

The room

Iba Hall's standard room houses two residents in a 10-by-14-foot-7-inch space furnished with two XL twin bed frames and mattresses, two desks with chairs, two dressers, a bookcase, and built-in closets (5 ft 1 in wide, 1 ft 10 in deep). A 46-by-58-inch exterior window, vinyl wood-plank flooring and mini blinds come standard, and central heat and air conditioning keep the room comfortable year-round. A single-occupancy version of the same floor plan is reserved for students with an approved accessibility placement through Student Accessibility Services. Bed frames leave 10 to 15 inches of under-bed storage and vary by room; risers up to seven inches are allowed, but homemade or prefabricated lofts are not permitted anywhere on campus, including in Iba Hall.

Day to day

Beyond the bedroom, Iba residents share community bathrooms with private stalls and showers, a community kitchen, a meditation room, and free, unlimited laundry facilities. The basement holds the community kitchen along with a recreation area and a wellness room, while the first-floor lobby has a piano. Living rooms and lounges serve the hall's four floors, and the second floor is home to the Global Scholars House living-learning community. Because the Housing and Residential Life administrative office is based in Iba Hall itself, residents are steps from OSU Health Services and the Colvin Recreation Center -- though day-to-day desk services for Iba are handled at Village FIT (also known as Village A). Computer labs, a remote printer station, campus Wi-Fi, and Ethernet in most rooms round out the hall's technology offerings.

Move-in day

Iba Hall sits at the intersection of Farm Road and Cleveland Street, about an 11-minute walk to Boone Pickens Stadium and 15 minutes to Edmon Low Library. General move-in for Fall 2026 falls on August 12-13, with earlier appointment windows on August 7 (band, PTP, and student employees whose supervisors provide their information), August 9 (sorority), and August 11 (Admitted Student Day participants). Residents select their move-in appointment time through the OSU Housing Portal before arriving. Iba's desk services are located at Village FIT (Village A) rather than in the building, so plan to bring your own dolly or cart. Central Market Place, Cafe Libro, and Roots are the closest dining options, and mail and packages should be sent to the campus address only after move-in day to avoid being returned to sender.

  • Sleep mask + earplugs

For quad hangs, tailgates, and games on damp grass
