Colorado State University requires newly admitted first-year students (and transfers with fewer than 15 post-high-school credits) who are single, under 21, and not living with their parents in the Fort Collins area to live in the University residence halls for their first two consecutive terms. Rooms across CSU's community- and suite-style halls come with a twin XL bed (39" x 80") on a frame that lofts from a standard 20" low height, plus a desk and chair, dresser, and wardrobe or closet -- but only a few halls are air-conditioned (CSU's rates table marks just Academic Village, Laurel Village, and Summit), so a fan is standard packing. Fall 2026 residence-hall move-in runs August 18-19, ahead of the first day of classes on August 24.
