Living in Women's Quad: what to know before you pack
The room
Women's Quad combines three former residence halls (the M, S and W wings) into one recently renovated suite-style community for female students. Each two-person bedroom has vinyl faux-wood flooring, 130-inch ceilings, a 25" x 57" window, a sink with a 24" x 36" mirror, two three-drawer dressers, two wardrobes with whiteboard doors, two filing cabinets for locking storage, and two desks with chairs. USC describes the bedrooms as having two lofted beds: an extra-long twin frame measuring 38" deep x 85" wide x 60" tall with 80.5 inches of clear width underneath, adjusting between a 25.5-inch minimum and a 60-inch maximum bed height. Loft kits and risers you bring yourself are not permitted here. Two bedrooms share one bathroom with a shower (no curtain provided) and toilet, making each suite feel more private than a traditional floor-shared bathroom setup.
Day to day
Each wing has three floors with elevator and keycard access, kitchens on the first floor and in the basement, and a basement laundry room. Women's Quad also includes community and entertainment rooms plus two residential classrooms, giving it more built-in academic and social space than most traditional halls. It is centrally located just off Greene Street, adjacent to the Russell House University Union, putting residents within easy walking distance of dining, student organizations, and campus events.
Move-in day
Women's Quad is not on USC's Friday, August 14 early list, so it follows the general Saturday, August 15, 2026 move-in day, with arrival slots reserved in 30-minute increments through the Housing Portal. The M wing address is 720 Bull Street. Its central Greene Street location next to the Russell House makes for a short walk from nearby unloading areas, though expect heavier pedestrian and vehicle traffic given the proximity to the heart of campus during peak move-in hours. Set your bed height while the room is empty -- the frame adjusts between 25.5 and 60 inches and cannot be supplemented with risers.
