Rutgers–New Brunswick assigns most incoming first-year students to traditional twin-XL residence halls spread across the Busch, Livingston, College Avenue, and Cook/Douglass campuses, with move-in day assigned by building rather than one shared date. - Nearly all traditional residence halls use a twin extra-long (XL) bed frame and mattress; Sojourner Truth Apartments on College Avenue is a notable exception, with full/double beds.
- What comes already in the room when I move in?
- Every traditional room includes a bed frame and mattress, closet or wardrobe, dresser, desk, chair, blinds or curtains, a built-in microfridge, and WiFi. Flooring is carpet on Busch and linoleum in the Livingston Quads.
