Living in Webster Hall: what to know before you pack
The room
Webster's rooms use the campuswide standard: a Twin XL mattress at 80" by 36", available single, bunkable, or loftable on a frame adjustable from 5" to 30", plus a desk, chair, wardrobe or closet, and bookcase for each resident. The layout is typical Orchard Hill low-rise traditional housing -- straightforward rooms served by a shared corridor bathroom rather than a private one. Webster also offers gender-inclusive housing, which lets students room with someone of any gender if they select that option.
Day to day
Webster has a gender-inclusive bathroom with a shower alongside standard facilities, kitchens on three floors, and a recreation room with a TV, ping pong, pool, and foosball. A classroom equipped with a projector screen supports programming held right in the building. Orchard Hill is a four-hall area -- Dickinson, Webster, Grayson, and Field -- set on a hill above the center of campus, and the Dickinson Service Desk covers all four.
Move-in day
Webster is not one of the professional-mover buildings, so it uses the standard assisted move-in window of Wednesday through Friday, September 2-4, 2026, 8am to 5pm, with the exact day and time tied to each student's reservation. The hillside location means a longer carry from the unload zone than the flatter areas, so a hand truck or wagon earns its keep. A reservation and printed boarding pass are required at check-in.
