Windham is one of four residence halls in Mountainview College — with Hunter, Cascade and Marcy — perched on the hills overlooking the center of the university, with what Residential Life calls the best view on campus, right across from Binghamton's 182-acre Nature Preserve. Mountainview is air conditioned community-wide, one of only a few communities where that holds across every building. Each building has its own laundry and a full kitchen, plus lounges on every floor, and residents share the Appalachian Dining Hall, a gaming lounge in Appalachian G02, and turf and basketball courts. Mountainview also houses three learning communities: Romance Languages, Engineering and Nursing. Move-in day

Fall 2026 move-in for new first-year and transfer students ran Friday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 15, at an appointment scheduled through the housing portal between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Mountainview uses the same lower-campus entrance as CIW, Dickinson, Hinman and Newing — the main entrance at Glenn G. Bartle Drive off Vestal Parkway East (Route 434) — with all four Mountainview buildings, Windham, Hunter, Cascade and Marcy, marked in purple. Plan on one to two hours, with B-Welcome Crew volunteers in bright green T-shirts and big green laundry carts helping move belongings in. Use Residential Life's mobile-friendly wayfinding application rather than standard GPS once you're on campus, since move-in traffic patterns override normal routing.
