Every building in Dickinson has its own multi-purpose room, a laundry room with an adjoining laundry lounge, and a recreational game room, and residents share the Turf Field, the C4 Dining Hall (the Chenango Champlain Collegiate Center, shared with Newing), and basketball and volleyball courts. Expect a more hallway-centric social scene here than in Dickinson's flat-style buildings.

Move-in day

Fall 2026 move-in for new first-year and transfer students ran Friday, Aug. 14 through Saturday, Aug. 15, at an appointment scheduled through the housing portal between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Dickinson traffic enters through the main lower-campus entrance at Glenn G. Bartle Drive off Vestal Parkway East (Route 434). Watch the signage carefully: Old Digman and Old Rafuse are marked in green, while Dickinson's other four buildings — Digman, Johnson, Rafuse and O'Connor — are marked in blue, and the near-identical names make this an easy one to get wrong. The full process generally takes one to two hours, with green laundry carts and B-Welcome Crew volunteers in bright green T-shirts on hand.
