Shocker Hall is WSU's largest first-year hall, 800+ residents. It houses the Dorothy & Bill Cohen Honors College and all of the university's Living Learning Communities, with Shocker Dining Hall and the GroundHouse coffee shop attached. Move-in day

Fall 2026 move-in for Shocker Hall follows WSU's campus-wide schedule: doors open Saturday, August 8, with the full-service weekend running through Sunday, August 9, when staff are on hand to answer questions and lend a hand. You check in at your assigned building to get key access, and moving carts are available at check-in. Shocker Hall traffic is directed to either the loading zone on the north side of the building or Lot 8 on the south side, and WSU runs a stop-drop-and-roll pattern: pull into the spot you're directed to, grab your key and a cart, unload to the curb, then move the car. No parking permit is needed during move-in weekend.
