VSU requires first-year students with fewer than 30 earned credit hours (AP/Dual Enrollment excluded) to live on campus for the full academic year; exemptions exist for students 20+, married, a parent/guardian, enrolled part-time, holding 30+ credit hours, or living within 50 miles with a parent/legal guardian. Brown, Patterson, and Reade are traditional halls with lofted XL twin beds and spa-style (Brown/Patterson) or true community (Reade) bathrooms; Georgia Hall is suite-style with private or semi-private bathrooms and non-lofted beds. Fall 2026 move-in runs August 11 (Brown, Lowndes, Reade, Hopper, Georgia) and August 12 (Patterson, Georgia, Hopper, Centennial).
