Cross Village is a 1,450-bed complex of four buildings. Bed size splits by floor plan here — full-size everywhere except the 2-bedroom/4-person suite — so confirm your exact assignment before buying sheets.

⊘ Prohibited

Non-folding bicycles in the residence halls (folding bikes under 92 linear inches allowed in-room); lithium-ion e-transport devices may not be charged or stored in the building; washing machines may not be used for dyeing; campus-wide prohibited items apply — self-built lofts and bed riserspersonal air conditioners and space heatersopen-flame and fire-hazard items
  • Bed size is not uniform across Cross Village: the 1 Bedroom Suite (1 person), the 2 Bedroom Suite with Living (2 person) and the 4 Bedroom Suite with Living (4 person) all use full-size beds; only the 2 Bedroom Suite with Living (4 person) uses Twin XL. Confirm the floor plan, not just the building.
  • OU does not itemize air conditioning on this hall's official page; personal air conditioners are prohibited campus-wide, so confirm cooling with Housing & Food Services rather than planning to bring a unit.

Living in Cross Village: what to know before you pack

The room

Cross Village offers the widest room-type range of OU's first-year halls: a 1 Bedroom Suite for one person at about 300 sq ft, a 2 Bedroom Suite with Living for two at 572 sq ft, the same 572 sq ft footprint configured for four, and a 4 Bedroom Suite with Living for four at 875 sq ft. Bed size depends on which one you land in, and the split is not intuitive — OU publishes full-size beds in the 1-person suite, the 2-bedroom/2-person suite and the 4-bedroom/4-person suite, with the 2-bedroom/4-person suite as the single Twin XL layout in the building. Buy sheets against the floor plan on the assignment letter, not against the building name. Every unit has a kitchenette with a sink, full-sized refrigerator and microwave, and OU notes that all of the furniture is movable so residents can individualize the space. The living areas are furnished but the television is not included, and the 1-person plan additionally includes an entryway desk with chair.

Day to day

Bathrooms are shared within the suite — tile floors and showers with a vanity located just outside the bathroom itself — except in the 1-person suite, where the resident has the bathroom to themselves. Either way, residents handle cleaning of their own bathroom and common areas rather than relying on daily housekeeping the way a community-bath hall does, so toilet paper and cleaning supplies belong on the list. Beyond the in-unit kitchenette, every floor has a common kitchen, laundry (free and unlimited, no Sooner Card), and lounge and study space, and the complex adds a fitness center floor, a blackbox theater, a DIY creative space, storm shelters, a parking garage and onsite dining. Bedroom privacy locks and unit electronic entry come standard, and all utilities are bundled into the housing rate.

Move-in day

Fall 2026 first-year general move-in, including Cross Village, runs Monday, August 17 through Tuesday, August 18, with a specific arrival slot assigned and emailed to your OU account. Cross Village is four separate buildings (A through D, at Asp Avenue and 4th Street), each with its own mailing address, so confirm the building letter before routing the car. Because kitchenette and living-area furniture is already in place, prioritize bedding matched to your floor plan's bed size, bathroom supplies, kitchen basics and a television if you want one for the console. OU's packing list permits finishing nails here for wall decor.

What bed size does Cross Village use?
