Read before you pack
- Triggering a fire alarm with a banned cooking appliance carries a fee of a minimum of $375 (UCF Housing Packing List).
- Bed mattresses are raised to their highest level prior to move-in and additional lifts or risers of any kind are not permitted — only maintenance staff may alter bed heights, via a work order.
- Freshmen are not required to live on campus, but 'priority for on-campus housing goes to incoming first-year students' and remaining spaces go to returning residents by lottery.
- Quiet hours run 10:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m. during the academic year and 24 hours during finals.

Air conditioning at UCF
AC varies by hall at UCF — 3 halls have it, 1 have partial AC, and 0 do not. Check your assignment letter before deciding whether to pack a fan.
