University of Louisiana at Lafayette Freshman Dorms 2026
UL Lafayette requires all first-time, full-time freshmen to live on campus regardless of age or emancipation status, with exemptions available for students turning 21 or older, married, custody of dependent children, part-time enrollment, active military service, medical or disability circumstances, or living within 50 miles of campus with a parent or guardian. Every residence hall uses Twin XL beds on frames that adjust up to 31 inches standard, with a staff-installed, $100/semester option to loft to 62 inches. Personal window air conditioners are banned campus-wide. Fall 2026 move-in for first-year students runs August 20-21, by appointment only.
