Read before you pack
- First-ever semester academic year — Fall 2026 is Cal Poly's first semester term after converting from quarters.
- Two-year residential requirement now applies to ALL colleges starting with Fall 2026 admits, not just Ag/CAED/Engineering/Athletes/Scholars/TRIO as before.
- No air conditioning anywhere in University Housing, confirmed directly in the official Housing Resource Guide, and portable or window AC units are explicitly banned.
- Lofted beds and bed risers you bring yourself are not permitted; only Housing staff can change bed height or configuration.
