Brumby is one of UGA's iconic first-year high-rises — 940 freshmen, nine floors, and the social density that comes with that. The building runs a community kitchen on the first floor plus warming kitchens on floors 2 through 6, study lounges and phone rooms for calls and group work, a 24-hour front desk, and secure two-factor building access. Don't assume this applies across UGA, though: Creswell, the high-rise across the way, still uses 75-by-36-inch standard twin mattresses. At UGA the sheet size genuinely depends on which hall you're assigned, so confirm your hall before you buy — it's the most common bedding mistake incoming Bulldogs make.
- Does Brumby have community or private bathrooms?
- Both, depending on your room type: Brumby offers doubles with a community bath down the hall and doubles with a private bath shared only between you and your roommate, at a higher rate.
