Read before you pack
- Extension cords are banned outright in Auburn residence halls — only surge protectors with a built-in on/off switch are permitted.
- Personal microwaves over 700 watts and refrigerators over 4.3 cubic feet are prohibited in all residence halls, alongside personal AC units, ceiling fans, space heaters and halogen lamps.
- Beds are adjustable 12"-32" in the Hill and Quad and can be bunked or raised with 5"-8" square risers; separately, lofts are allowed only if leased from a University Housing-approved vendor — any other loft is prohibited.
- Any student moving in before August 11 is charged a $90 Early Move-In Fee on their student account.
- Move-in runs over three weeks, so Auburn provides no volunteers and no move-in equipment — bring your own wagon or dolly.
